Kavanaugh was a part of the majority in that decision. During his 2018 confirmation hearings, Kavanaugh said that Roe v. Wade was “settled as precedent of the Supreme Court.”,The court did not make a comment on Kavanaugh’s interrupted dinner but a person familiar with the situation told Politico that Kavanaugh did not hear or see the protesters and ate a full meal. They did not mention what exit Kavanaugh used to leave the restaurant.,As for the restaurant, they were not amused. Sending a statement to a Politico reporter, they stated that everyone should have the right to eat dinner.,“Honorable Supreme Court Justice Kavanaugh and all of our other patrons at the restaurant were unduly harassed by unruly protestors while eating dinner at our Morton’s restaurant. Politics, regardless of your side or views, should not trample the freedom at play of the right to congregate and eat dinner. There is a time and place for everything. 51岁的黄循财祖籍中国海南，幼年与家人住在组屋（公共住房），上小学、中学都是就近入学，和“精英教育”沾不上一点边。但凭借优异的成绩，黄循财高中毕业时获得新加坡公共服务委员会奖学金，赴美留学。1995年，他获得密歇根大学应用经济学文学硕士学位，尔后进入新加坡贸易和工业部任职。

在熟人的眼中，黄循财“好学但不拘谨”，是一个有亲和力的人。大学时期，他常同室友在街头弹奏吉他。

“友善而有趣，聪明但谦逊，能够鼓舞团队士气，具有决策天赋且负责任。”他在新加坡财政部任职时的同事认为，正是这些特质让出身寻常的黄循财从同龄人中脱颖而出。

2011年，黄循财进入新加坡政坛，凭借友善、亲和、谦逊的特质，最终进入执政党人民行动党第四代领导层团队。

G | 作为团队中最年轻、资历最浅的一位，他在2022年4月被19名同僚中的15人选为总理李显龙的“接棒者”。

这一方面与曾被认定为“接棒者”的王瑞杰退出有关，另一方面也与黄循财在疫情期间发挥出色的协调能力，助力新加坡成为“抗疫优等生”有关。为感激一线抗疫人员而泪洒国会的一幕，更是展现了他极具亲和力与同理心的一面，让他成为新加坡家喻户晓的人物。

更值得一提的是，他为了做好工作勤练中文。尽管祖籍中国海南，但他年少时学习中文纯靠死记硬背。

H | 2011年进入政坛后，他开始勤念中文。

I | 出任抗疫跨部门工作小组负责人期间，由于要经常出席吹风会、用中文解释防疫政策，他更是狠下功夫，练到了能够脱稿讲中文。“这一切都是值得的，让我可以同更多新加坡人交流。”

最新民调结果显示，约40%新加坡人认为黄循财值得信赖，在Z世代受访者中这一比例更高。但这个数字也意味着，依然有过半新加坡人对黄循财的继任持观望态度。

新加坡定于2025年举行大选，也有分析认为这场大选会提前在今年举行。如何领导已经连续执政65年的人民行动党在大选中守住执政地位，考验着黄循财。

从目前黄循财对政府进行的小规模改组来看，他试图确保执政的连续性与稳定性，“这是关键的考虑因素”。

而面对纷繁复杂的国际形势，黄循财也很清楚地表明新加坡不是美国盟友，一切以新加坡利益为首要考虑立场。至于如何与中国相处，黄循财表示，新加坡长期坚持一个中国政策，“我们不允许自己被任何支持‘台独’的势力所利用”。

本月初接受采访时，他警告说，在美国对华采取“小院高墙”的出口限制下，院子若不断变大，只会导致技术分岔，最终殃及世界。
